1. Teaching Learning

1.1. Mode of Teaching

i. Most faculty members primarily use the lecture method for classroom teaching, with technology incorporated occasionally.
ii. Core content is delivered before class. Class time is used for discussion, deliberation on thematic content and plot structure, and many a times problem-solving, collaborative work, and clarification is submitted by the students in the forms of assignment.
iii. The students with music (I) are taught as per the need of the subject. They learn through performing demonstrations and instructions followed by practice sessions and rehearsals from students.

1.2. Curriculum Planning and Implementation:

i. Teaching schedule fully complies with the annual academic calendar issued by the Department of Higher Education in consultation with the affiliating university. The college-level schedule is prepared in alignment with the B.A./B.Com programmes outlined in the prospectus and follows the UG CBCS annual examination structure of the affiliating university.
ii. Students are facilitated to undertake class tests, gradual assignments, after providing them supplementary study material by the respective teachers and after they explore NDLI resources for extensive knowledge on the subject, house examinations, and annual examinations as prescribed in the curriculum developed by the affiliating universities.
iii. BA 2nd year music students successfully completed surveys on culture of Mandi.
iv. Quizzes, class tests, presentation, assignments, MTT etc. are conducted by all the departments as per the rules framed by the Sardar Patel University for the internal assessment of the students (record with the teachers).
v. Class room assessment and results of class tests of students are communicated to them within 7 days in class rooms on one to one basis and by showing the answer sheets of house examination which are evaluated within stimulated time and after addressing their queries regarding marking of their answer sheets (record in the college).

2. Students Support, Services and Progression

2.1. Pre and Post Admission Counseling :

i. Admission schedules, available courses, student intake, and eligibility conditions are communicated through the college website, newspapers, college notice board various WhatsApp groups administered by teachers, and the college Facebook page.
ii. Pre-admission counseling for prospective students began in February in nearby senior secondary schools, conducted by college staff and supported by Panchayat and PTA representatives through word-of-mouth outreach. Students were informed about the higher-education facilities available close to their homes, along with details of the UG (CBCS) annual system offered by SPU and the courses available in the Arts and Commerce streams. Students already enrolled in the college were notified of the academic schedule issued by DHE via the college website and subject-specific WhatsApp groups .The telephone numbers of responsible persons (Principal ,Convener of admission committee and office staff ) were clearly notified in Press note for any sort of query regarding admission process. During admission, applicants received assistance at the admission desk in understanding the terminology and selecting courses for the B.A./B.Com. programmes.
iii. Students were oriented about the institution, available facilities, library resources, academic calendar, co-curricular activities including career counseling, mentor-mentee groups remedial classes. Students were informed about continuous evaluation of their learning, regularity in class attendance and the pattern of calculation of CCA which is a significant component of CBCS, house examinations, and the credit requirements for successful completion of the graduate programme through an introductory session (all this information is already printed in college prospectus).

2.2.Scholarships:

i. Awareness about different scholarships Schemes was provided to the all eligible students by organizing general scholarship intimation session and subsequent class wise lectures by the scholarship committee and faculty member of the institution. During this session OTR (One Time Registration) was introduced for the first time for all scholarship applicants, dissemination of this information and subsequent registration of all students on scholarship portal was done by scholarship committee.
ii. No other scholarship was provided to students.

i. Mentor mentee groups for BA 2 & BA 3 English were formed to apprise students about various career options in this field available to them, ways to prepare themselves for it, to critically appreciate literary works and related Q&A sessions. Individual students were given material keeping in view the curriculum enrichment and their presentations were evaluated in classroom. (Teacher Record)

2.9. Coaching for National Level Competitive Examinations /HAS

i Students are prepared for various national and state level banking administrative and SSC examination within the ambit of various courses in the classrooms.

i. The institution strives to make optimum use of power during working hours. We have replaced all CFL Bulbs with LED Lights. Plantation drives are taken up by the students in monsoon seasons and at their homes under the Central Government Initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. Channelization and cleaning of natural water resources (Kulh & Baudi) around college campus is done annually during NSS camp. The college has started use of compostable garbage bags.
ii. Students and staff have pledged to make minimum use of plastic goods & material. The sanitary waste is treated in the incinerator installed in the girls’ toilet shared with GSSS Kotli. Regular cleaning of classrooms and disposal of dry waste is done through Gram Panchayat.
